Happy first Easter my little one!
You had such a big weekend. Your great-meme came all the way from Ohio with your cousin, Mia. They came on Thursday and spent all day with you on Friday. We mainly just spent the day talking and watching you sleep. You slept for an hour and a half on your cousin. It was cute because you kept sliding down as you got cozier and cozier. We took you out to lunch with us, but you didn't even stir the whole time. Everyone commented on how beautiful you are. Some exciting moments: Meme figured out you are ticklish (and you smiled so big!), you were playing on your play mat and you reached up and pulled the little birdie that plays music. You got so excited (and so did we) and you held on to it and kept pulling it. Your dad was so thrilled that he got to see it, too. We took a lot of pictures.![]() |

On Saturday, Daddy and I just spent the whole day loving you and cuddling and making faces to make you laugh. Daddy didn't get ANY work done-- but we didn't mind because we want to enjoy every moment with you. That night we went out to eat with Grandma Holly and Grandpa Joe and Uncle JP. You ate your bottle and then Grandma and Grandpa took turns holding you and walking around outside to keep you happy (but also they just wanted to spend some time with you). Sunday was Easter and you were BEAUTIFUL. We went to church and everyone couldn't get over how sweet and beautiful you looked. You had a gorgeous little pink dress with a big skirt. During the music you wanted to see everything and you were so happy and enjoyed all the singing. When the preacher started talking, though, you decided it was time to leave. You and I stood outside while you cried during whole sermon. Daddy came out at the end and (of course) you immediately stopped crying when he held you. You certainly love your dad!!
We have started some new things with you. Yesterday when your Nina and Poppy came to visit we put your FIRST cloth diaper on you. I had to google how to fold it, because I couldn't remember and it didn't seem like I did it right. The more we do, the better I feel about it. I just haven't gotten the hang of getting them tight yet. You look so darn cute in your cloth diapers, though! You seem to really be more aware of when you have a dirty diaper compared to disposables. You also seem to enjoy hanging out without any pants on... that better not be something I am saying when you get older, though!!
We are trying to teach you a sleeping routine, too. At night I feed you around 7:30 and we start winding down and trying to get you in bed by 8:00. Sometimes you go to bed by 8:30 and sometimes it is more like 11:00. You are still struggling to fall asleep sometimes. I can tell you are tired (and you get so miserable when you're sleepy), but you just can't settle yourself in. Daddy and I put you in your Moby wrap when you are having a bad night so you can snuggle up and fall asleep. On Saturday night you were really upset even in your Moby wrap, but as soon as I started the dryer you instantly fell asleep. I'll have to remember that one...You are growing up so fast, sweet girl! I can't believe how much more you stay awake and smile and pay attention to everything around you each day. You have started looking around to find me and daddy when you hear our voice. You love playing with your play mat toys and now you can fall asleep in your swing without my help. You still LOVE eating and get really angry if I make you wait, but I think that just means you are your mommy's daughter. :)
I love you so much M. I am completely proud of you and I never get tired of watching you and marveling at the little person you are. Love!!
